My grandma Grace bought an RV and took a trip to Alaska this summer. So our family vacation was postponed until now. Last summer we went camping at Woodcrest Retreat, during the summer, and it was a lot of fun. Since we all enjoyed summer camping the decision was made to go this fall. Well my cousin Ann went out to Indiana to help a family that moved. So she wasn't planning on being at our camping weekend. I was more than a little bummed! Let's just say that after school on Friday I was peacefully coloring with my cousin Rose and the Zimmerman van pulled in (you really can't miss it ;) This was nothing unusual since it was logical that my aunt would be coming to the camp site. Well, it didn't take me long to realize that Ann had come in from Indiana with her brother and sister-in-law to surprise me! Ahhhh! I was ecstatic! The rest of the vacation was pretty much like a typical camping trip with a lot of spice. :) Camp fires, hammocks, the bath house (yes, I know, scary!), and a trip to Skyzone! Saturday morning we were sitting around the campfire and my cousin Zaye says "Grandma, you should take us older kids to Skyzone." She declined him at first, but with a little convincing from the rest of us, the trip was planned. We would leave the camp promptly at 3:30 to be back in time for supper at 6. Surprisingly we accomplished leaving on time ;). The rest of the trip was full of fun, and interesting sound affects coming from a Spanish church fiesta! :) I am so thankful to be blessed with a close family that cares, loves, and laughs with (and at) each other! :)
